Omnitrans International Limited was founded in 1988 following our great success in ocean and air freight forwarding and emerging as the largest supplier of freight to ocean and air carriers.

Appointed in 1988 as General & Port handling agent for Chittagong & Mongla by NG Shipping Singapore, a leading feeder carrier, we started our journey in representing the ocean carrier for the husbanding of their vessels and acting as exclusive sales and marketing partner.



ORIENT OVERSEAS CONTAINER LINE,

In recognition by the trade of our being the single largest supplier of ocean freight containerized volumes to Europe & USA, Canada, we were appointed exclusive port and vessel handling agent for OOCL Hong Kong.

Our offices at Dhaka, Chittagong & Khulna with a staff strength of over 300 personnel managed services for merchandising companies, import agents, stores in USA, Canada & Europe, buying houses, factories, industries, traders, exporters and importers for dry & cold cargoes to their complete satisfaction numbering in the thousands.

Simultaneously, we also handled OOCL weekly feeder vessels operating between Singapore & Chittagong port.


AIRLINE GSA

DRAGONAIR

When Dragonair started in 1989 with one B737 aircraft, Omnitrans was their choice for the Hong Kong / Kathmandu / Dhaka weekly flights. We were appointed passenger and cargo General Sales and Ground Handling agency for DRAGONAIR. We handled inbound and outbound passenger handling and sales as well as cargo at the airport and city offices with over 80 personnel servicing over one hundred passenger and cargo agents.

We witnessed and managed the phenomenal rise of Dragonair from a single weekly to daily frequencies with A300 equipment configured to carry over 300 passengers and over 35 tons of cargo which we filled on both routes. Our team of over 40 personnel handled airport operations from our airport offices while another 60 staff managed sales and marketing operations from our city offices at Dhaka and Chittagong offering services to over 200 passenger and cargo agents.

AIR HONGKONG

At this time, considering our leadership position, we were appointed GSA & ground handling partner for Air Hong Kong – the only freighter operator in Hong Kong for their multiple weekly Hong Kong/ Dhaka v.v. flights.



OMNI AIRWAYS

With leadership positions both in ocean and airfreight logistics, we floated the 1st cargo airline in the country – OMNI AIRWAYS – licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and began operating weekly flights with 707F aircrafts between Hong Kong and Dhaka for over a year.

We handled several 747F freighter operations of multiple carriers at Dhaka airport for imports and exports.

Work is on to re-start this freighter airline by mid 2020 from/to Bangladesh airports.
