The Enem-Omni group commenced business in 1972 following the independence of Bangladesh, as a ship's agency in Chittagong following decades of experience in this trade. Enem emerged as the largest customs brokerage in the country, providing customs clearing, forwarding, and logistics services for nearly 100% of the exports and imports for the nascent readymade garments industry.
