# potato seeds - we started by importing 500 kgs of Kufri & Jyoti potato seed varieties from ITC / Technico Agri Sciences India for testing when potatoes were a notified crop, testing for 4 years in all districts of Bangladesh with results exceeding 30+ % better yield than existing varieties in the country

# we continue to work with our government potato agencies for the import & introduction of potato seeds varieties mainly for growing industrial processing potato seeds varieties - which is severely in shortage in Bangladesh.

# Potato seeds are a notified crop presently. We are working with the government seed agency to declare potato seeds non-notified for industrial processing potato varieties viz., CROP 78 etc.

# Aim is to enhance the production & growth of industrial processed varieties of potatoes in Bangladesh to meet the huge unmet consumption demand in Bangladesh. (presently we have 1-2 potato varieties viz., Santana growing in Bangladesh)

# Bangladesh production of potatoes for industrial processing is below 3% presently, causing regular seasonal financlal crisis to farmers & the country due to demand supply imbalance from table potato crop.

# take advantage of the prospect of exports of such potatoes in raw & processed forms to importing countries viz., S. Korea, China, Middle East, Arabia, USA etc., etc.
